Silence and Stillness in Every Season

John Main (1926-1982) was a Benedictine mond whom Bede Griffiths once acclaimed "the best spiritual guide in the church today." His work continues to guide many to deeper spirituality and also to inspire inter-religious dialogue.

"Every morning and evening these daily readings offer gentle encouragement and wise inspiration." -Laurence Freeman "I do not know of any better method of meditation leading to the experience of the love of God in Christ than that of John Main." -Bede Griffiths "Father John does more than recall isolated gems of wisdom; he reminds us of our own ancient and unbroken tradition of meditation." -Robert Kiely, Professor of English Literature, Harvard University
