Dr. Wang received his PhD in 2017 from the Beijing University of Technology and then completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the School of Civil Engineering of Tsinghua University. He has been teaching at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Transportation Engineering of the Beijing University of Technology since 2020. His research interests include bridge seismic engineering, seismic and disaster mitigation of offshore engineering structures. Prof. Wang undertook two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and one project funded by China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. He has published more than 100 academic papers, one monograph in Chinese, and has six invention patents and four software copyrights registered to his name. He was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress for his work’s significant impact on coastal engineering and environmental protection. Dr. Bao received his PhD from Tsinghua University, where he also completed his postdoctoral fellowship. Since September 2023, he has served as an Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of Dalian University of Technology. His primary research focus is on seismic and explosion analysis of complex media-structure systems. He has been honored with the Special Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, the First Prize for Technological Progress by the Chinese Ministry of Education, an Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award by the Chinese Society for Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and has been selected for the Postdoctoral Innovation Talents Support Program by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and the National Postdoctoral Management Office, as well as the Shuimu Scholar Program by Tsinghua University. He has authored one academic monograph and published over seventy academic papers, and serves as an editorial board member for the International Journal of Protective Structures (SAGE).Prof. Zhao Mi is both the Director of the Department of Civil Engineering and the Director of the Institute of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation and Protection Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Transportation Engineering, Beijing University of Technology. Some of his projects have been supported by the Ministry of Education – Innovation Team Development Plan, the National Major Talents Project, the National Excellent Young Scientists Fund, the Beijing Science Fund for Distinguished Young, and the National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation. He is mainly engaged in research on soil-structure dynamic interaction and earthquake resistance for major engineering. He has published more than 100 academic papers, was awarded the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress and one First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress by the China Transportation Association.Prof. Xiuli is currently the Vice President of the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT). After he obtained his PhD in May 1990 from the Institute of Engineering Mechanics, China Earthquake Administration, Dr. Du worked in industry as a senior engineer until he joined BJUT in 2001, devoting decades to teaching and research in earthquake engineering. He has made outstanding contributions to structure-foundation-soil coupled earthquake resistance. His research has been supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China's Innovation Research Group Project and Excellent Young Scientists Project. He was awarded the title of Beijing Strategic Scientist and Beijing Scholar. At the end of 2023, he was also elected as a member of the China Academy of Engineering in the Civil, Hydraulic and Architecture Engineering Academic Division – the top academic title in the country, which represents the highest academic level and reputation in the engineering community.
