Dr. Bhanwar Vishvendra Raj Singh is an Assistant Professor of Geography at Mohanlal Sukhadia University, with expertise in sustainable development, landscape ecology, and remote sensing applications. His research focuses on the use of geospatial technologies and climate adaptation strategies for effective natural resource management and the conservation of protected areas. Dr. Singh has co-edited books in the human-environment interaction series published by Springer and has authored numerous articles on geography, environmental sustainability, and the application of advanced technologies in ecological management. His work emphasizes bridging gaps in data and methodologies to promote sustainable development practices and enhance ecological resilience.Dr. Amit Kumar Batar is a Research Associate at the National Institute for Environmental Studies (NIES), in Japan. His expertise spans forest disturbance and fragmentation, disaster management, watershed management, and socio-ecological interactions. Dr. Batar’s research integrates machine learning approaches and remote sensing technologies to tackle sustainability challenges in forest ecosystems and natural resource management. He has extensive experience leveraging Earth observation data for environmental monitoring and climate change assessment. In addition to his research, Dr. Batar has co-edited books on human-environment interactions and actively contributes to international initiatives such as the International Long-Term Ecological Research Network (ILTER), the Group on Earth Observations Biodiversity Observation Network (GEOBON), and the Asia-Pacific Biodiversity Observation Network (APBON).Prof. Dr. Walter Timo de Vries is a Professor of Land Management and Land Development at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), Germany. He is the Director of the Center of Land, Water, and Environmental Risk Management and an expert in land governance, geospatial science, and sustainable development. With extensive teaching and research experience, he coordinates international educational programs, including the Master’s in Land Management and Geospatial Science. His work focuses on responsible land management, policy frameworks, and innovative solutions for global sustainability challenges. Among his notable contributions is co-editing the book Responsible and Smart Land Management Interventions: An African Context (CRC Press, 2020), which explores innovative approaches to land governance and sustainability, particularly in the African context. Dr. de Vries is actively involved in various professional networks and editorial boards, significantly contributing to the field of land management and environmental risk assessment.Dr. Shailesh Yadav is an Assistant Professor of Geography at Seth RL Saharia Government PG College, Kaladera, Jaipur, India, Dr. Yadav specializes in agriculture geography, transport geography, and environmental studies. With a Ph.D. on the socio-economic impacts of transport networks in Rajasthan, he has published extensively on agriculture and urban sustainability, biodiversity, and disaster management. As a visiting researcher at TUM, Germany, he integrates multidisciplinary approaches into his work on rural development and environmental governance.
