Liqun Cao (曹立群) is Professor of Sociology and Criminology at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Canada. He also holds an adjunct appointment at Hunan University. He has published numerous research essays and is the author of Major Criminological Theories: Concepts and Measurement (2004). His co-authored paper "Crime volume and law and order culture" (2007) won the 2008 ACJS Donal MacNamara Award – the best article of the year.Ivan Y. Sun (孙懿贤) is Professor in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice at the University of Delaware, USA. His research interests include police attitudes and behavior, public assessments of criminal justice, and crime and justice in Chinese societies. He has published more than 60 refereed journal articles since 2002. His most recent publications have appeared in Justice Quarterly, Crime and Delinquency and the Journal of Criminal Justice.Bill Hebenton (畢兒) teaches and researches at the Centre for Criminology and Criminal Justice in the School of Law, The University of Manchester, UK and is a Research Associate of the Manchester Centre for Chinese Studies. He has published widely on comparative criminology and criminal justice, and has a particular research interest in China and Greater China. He has been a Visiting Professor at National Taipei University (Taiwan), Academia Sinica (Taiwan), City University of Hong Kong, and East China University of Political Science and Law (Shanghai).
