Beskrivning
The first book by JBRock and Diamond bears two distinctive covers celebrating each artist whilst creating a single space where the friends and collaborators can bring their unique iconography together. The two artists masterfully juxtapose their works with the architecture that defines Rome in a beautiful fusion between old and new, eternal and ephemeral. Whilst both artists choose to focus their fascination on voluptuous images of women, the two differ in their execution. JB Rock's subjects often display raw, primal instincts through vibrant displays of luminous colour, whilst Diamond s art is more classical, refined and intricate. Whilst their styles may differ, both names are equally synonymous with the streets of Rome. Their impact is as hard as rock and as sharp as diamond.

Mer information

JB Rock is an Italian contemporary artist born in Rome in 1979. He is among the most famous writers on the Rome street art scene, and has been active since he was 12 years old. As the artist states, he is not going to stop writing, because there is nothing in his life that is making him feel better. Along with Diamond, JB deserves credit for kicking off an era of poster and stencil art in Italy. He is inspired by human body, society, politics, pop and post-pop, but emphasises that the discovery of the graffiti at young age was a crucial moment in his life. JB is influenced by Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, and also by his fellow artists, Gianfranco Baruchello, Carlo Gabriele Tribbioli, Federico Maria Tribbioli, Niccolo Berretta and several others. Diamond is part of TTS with JBRock, with whom he also shares a studio, he too works on posters, very often depicting women. These women often hearken back to pin up girls of the Betty Paige era. His pieces are mainly in black and white and the use of line reflects his interest in drawing. You can often find classical themes hidden in the tattoos on the bodies of his women, paying homage to his Roman heritage.
