The world is in danger; civilization and mankind itself on the brink of destruction by a peril from the sea. Only one man can thwart the danger that lurks in the ocean depths. When a government military project to create the world's first super battle-squid goes horribly wrong, Rick Steele and his trusty sidekick Ah Choo, assisted by Professor Von Hell-Sink and his tantalizing Teutonic assistant Helga Grosse-Brust, are all that stand between the killer squids and the extinction of man. As sultry Mexican news reporter Loida Enal works to uncover the story, Rick Steele takes on the squid menace. When the fate of humanity is on the line it's time to call...RICK STEELE: Squid Hunter

Introduction
I freely admit to a guilty pleasure: bad sci-fi and monster movies. From the days of Mystery Science Theater 3000, to those who fondly remember that, to the more modern fare found on Saturdays on the Sy-Fy Channel I am enamored with creatures who seek to wreak havoc on mankind: Sharktopus, Chupacabra, Mega Shark versus Giant Octopus, Giant Gila Monsters, Mega Piranha, DinoCroc, Supergator, Giant Leeches, Giant Pythons, Boas, or Anacondas and the rest garner my rapt attention and viewing time.
Lest the reader think I am uncultured, I will also admit that when my wife and I lived in California we attended and were patrons of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. When we lived in Europe we visited the great museums and cathedrals: The Louvre, The Hermitage, The Galleria de Academia, The Uffizi, Victoria and Albert and many, many others.
But I do love my "B" movie sci-fi. I also have a passion and curiosity about Cephalopods. If there is a Discovery Channel or Animal Planet Channel documentary about the squid or octopus you can bet I will be watching.
As a publisher, when my authors sent in a manuscript I would often reply, "Wow, wouldn't it be great if the hero could save the heroine's baby from the Giant Squid people?" The answer was always, "No, Greg, not in my book! Write your own book if you want something with a Giant Squid."
So... Based on my love of bad sci-fi, and my innate interest in squids, I give you RICK STEELE: Squid Hunter.

A Note from the Author
Squids are real. And they are dangerous. Very dangerous. If you see a squid, run away. Wave your arms to warn others. Shout, "Squids! The Squids are here!" Notify the authorities. Find a safe place to hide until help arrives. Good places to hide are Gun Shops and Chain Saw stores. Bad places to hide are Fish Markets and Live Bait Shops. Do NOT play the "Hey Look at Me, I'm a Fish" game.
