Revolutionary Theology

Arnold Farr is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Kentucky. He previously founded and directed the Africana Studies Program at St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and helped reshape the African American and Africana Studies Program at the University of Kentucky where he was also the 2010 MLK. Jr Scholar in Residence. Farr is founder and former president of the International Herbert Marcuse Society, and is the author of two books: Critical Theory and Democratic Vision: Herbert Marcuse and Recent Liberation Philosophies and Marginal Groups and Mainstream American Culture. He served for several years as a Tri-Chair for the Kentucky Poor People's Campaign. He was born and raised in Union, South Carolina, and is the grandson of sharecroppers.
