Relationships in trade and investment between Europe, the United States, and sub-Saharan Africa have long been asymmetrical, marked by systemic overcharges, underpayments, and exploitative practices. This book highlights a concept called kleptomation: a systematic, sustained theft of labor, resources, and wealth.
