Respect and Care in Medical Ethics

This collection of essays offers an inquiry into the discussion of renewed concern with bioethics. The power to start, alter, or extend life has developed recently to such a point that recent debate in bioethics has been organized into three 'schools': groups concerned with political questions, i.e., who should make a decision; groups concerned with the substantive question of what should we do; and the philosophical professionals who write about specific problems in medical ethics, enriching and sharpening discussions.
