Yongmei Hu is a professor of the Faculty of Education at Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China. Since 2016, she has been a vice editor-in-chief of the editorial board of China Economics of Education Review and a member of the executive board of the Association of China Education and Economics. Her research interests focus on the educational production function, school efficiency analysis, and educational finance policy. She has published more than 140 papers in Chinese and international journals.Yipeng Tang is an associate professor with the Faculty of Education, East China Normal University, Shanghai, China. He received his PhD in economics of education from Beijing Normal University. He was granted Young Researcher Funds by the National Natural Sciences Foundation of China. He has published more than 40 research articles in academic journals. His research interests include higher education finance, teacher policy, and student development.
