Rendezvous Der Künstler

Helmut Klewan (* 943), gallery owner, author and publisher, was one of the most important art promoters in Austria. This publication presents the Klewan Collection, an extraordinary collection of works of classical modernism and post-war art that has never before been shown in this concentration. Based in Vienna, the collection includes paintings, prints and sculptures by such well-known artists as Alberto Giacometti, Pablo Picasso, Giorgio de Chirico, Max Ernst, Jean Dubuffet, Francis Bacon, Arnulf Rainer, Maria Lassnig and Louise Bourgeois. Around 7 objects reflect a personal passion for collecting that is second to none and vividly document the historical development of art from the 2 th century to the 2 st century. Many of these works are being presented for the first time.
