“This book by Karin Roginer Hofmeister is the result of many years of work—reviewing decades of statements, the church periodical Pravoslavlje, articles, visiting various sites, and speaking with clergy and others. [...] Hofmeister succeeded in her intention, as she said in one interview, not to view everything through Western lenses, oversimplify, or cling to stereotypes about supposed Balkan ‘backwardness’.” — Nemanja Rujevi., Deutsche Welle , April 1, 2025 [translated from Serbian]
