Henrique Fernandes Antunes is Research Director at the Chacruna Institute for Psychedelic Plant Medicines. He holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of São Paulo and has been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. He has held postdoctoral positions at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), the University of Ottawa, and the Brazilian Center of Analysis and Planning (CEBRAP). His research focuses on the regulation and globalization of ayahuasca and other psychedelics. He also writes on the legal, political, and cultural dimensions of the psychedelic renaissance.
