Catherine C. Marshall is currently a senior researcher at Microsoft Research’s Silicon Valley Laboratory after a stint in Microsoft’s product divisions as part of the Advanced Reading Technologies Team. She was a long-time member of the research staff at Xerox Palo Alto Research Center (PARC) and is an affiliate of the Center for the Study of Digital Libraries at Texas A&M University. The author has delivered keynotes at WWW, Hypertext, Usenix FAST, CNI, VALA, ACH– ALLC, and a variety of other Computer Science and Library and Information Science venues.
