She is the author of Catherine of Aragon: Infanta of Spain, Queen of England (2021) and The King’s Other Body: María of Castile and the Crown of Aragon (2009). The 2nd edition of Queenship in Medieval Europe is that rare thing, a new edition that actively reshapes the book, rather than simply adding additional bibliography. Earenfight has incorporated the scholarship of the last 15 years and used that to revise and rethink some of her main ideas. She has also increased the coverage of the book to expand medieval Europe to include examples of queenship from Rus, Hungary, and Byzantium. The end result is an even better book than the first and sure to be the base text for queenship studies for the foreseeable future.
