Public History and Culture in South Africa

Ali Khangela Hlongwane is an honorary professor at the University of South Africa and a researcher at the University of Witwatersrand History Workshop. He has published chapters in the multi-volume The Road to Democracy in South Africa.Sifiso Mxolisi Ndlovu is Professor of History at the University of South Africa and the author of The Soweto Uprisings: Counter-memories of June 1976 (1998) and African Perspectives of King Dingane kaSenzangakhona: The Second Monarch of the Zulu Kingdom (Palgrave, 2017).
