... an essential reference book, both for dipping into during idle moments and for vital information when asked tricky questions by your trainee. If you own a previous edition, you will be missing out if you don't replace it. I recommend a hardback copy for your library and the paperback for your own bookshelf. British Journal of Psychiatry Oxford University Press has done an excellent job in producing an attractive, solidly bound volume at reasonable cost. It is in my view the best book of its kind in our specialty. International Psychogeriatrics, Vol 14, No 4 Any reader with a professional interest in the well-being of older people will profit from joining at least part of the journey through this book and will emerge stimulated and keen to know more. Psychological Medicine, 33 This is the best book I have seen in my clinical training for geriatric psychiatry. Doody's Journal
