Proceedings of the XVI Ibero-American Congress of Mechanical Engineering

This open access book brings together a curated selection of contributions presented at the XVI Congreso Iberoamericano de Ingeniería Mecánica/CIBIM 2024. It offers an overview of current research and technological development in Ibero-America through papers chosen by reviewers and session chairs from among several hundred submissions. The book is organized into six thematic sections—Mechanical Engineering Topics, Thermofluid, Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Mechatronic, and Maintenance Management—each showcasing diverse lines of investigation within the broader discipline. Particular attention is reflected in areas such as energy systems, biomechanics, and additive manufacturing, which drew strong interest during the congress. Together, the selected works provide a representative snapshot of emerging trends and collaborative efforts shaping mechanical engineering research across the Ibero-American community.
