David O'Neil is an Assistant Professor of English at the University of Southern Indiana. His research focuses on English language and linguistics, with particular interests in the history of English, medieval English metrics, language education, and English as a lingua franca. His previous publications include "English as the Lingua Franca of International Publishing" in World Englishes (2018) and "The Ear, the Foot, the Gut: The Metaphoric Body of the Timer Tradition of the Old English Metrics" in Essays in Medieval Studies (2018), among others.
