Prof. Shiban K Koul is currently an honorary professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. His research interests include high frequency wireless communication, microwave engineering, millimeter and sub-millimeter wave IC design, body area networks, flexible and wearable electronics, medical applications of sub-terahertz waves and reconfigurable microwave circuits including miniaturized antennas. He has successfully completed 38 major sponsored projects, 52 consultancy projects and 61 technology development projects. He has authored/co-authored 650 research papers, 27 state-of-the art books, four book chapters and two e-books. He holds 27 patents, six copyrights and one trademark. He has guided 30 Ph.D. theses and more than 100 master’s theses. Prof. Mrinal Mandal received his M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Ottawa, Canada. He is currently a professor and director of the Digital Image Analysis Laboratory, at the University of Alberta, Canada. His research interests include medical and document image analysis, computer-aided diagnosis, intelligent systems, deep learning and hardware architectures. He has published more than 225 papers in refereed journals and conferences. He has been the principal investigator of research projects funded by several Canadian Networks of Centers of Excellence such as CITR, MICRONET, NSERC and MITACS. He is currently serving as an associate editor of the International Journalof Imaging Systems and Technology and Journal of Imaging. He has authored two books: Multimedia Signals and Systems (Kluwer) and Continuous and Discrete Time Signals and Systems (Cambridge University Press). Prof. Santi P. Maity joined the faculty of Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur (IIEST Shibpurat) (formerly BEC (DU), BESU Shibpur) in the year 2000 followed by a brief teaching experience in K. G. Engineering Institute, Bishnupur and Haldia Institute of Technology in the period 1996–2000. At present, he is a professor (HAG) in Dept. of Information Technology. He also served as the head of different other academic units of the Institute, namely Dept. of Information Technology, Purabi Das School of Information Technology (PDSIT), School of VLSI (SVLSI) and School of Mechatronics and Robotics (SMR) and School of Advanced Materials, Green Energy and Sensor Systems (SAMGESS). Prof. Chanchal Kumar De earned his Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering (specializing in wireless communication and networking) from NIT Durgapur in 2014. With over 20 years of academic experience, his research areas include radio resource management in wireless networks, OFDM technology, cooperative communication, cognitive radio networks and full-duplex communication. He has authored more than 50 publications in international reputed journals and conference proceedings, along with book chapters. Additionally, he has been guiding multiple Ph.D. students in the field of wireless communication.Dr. Avishek Das completed his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Tech. (the project was done on Microwave at Antenna Division at SAMEER-Centre for Electromagnetics, Chennai) in E.C.E (Microwave) from the University of Burdwan, West Bengal, India, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. He received an MBA degree in Human Resource from Sikkim Manipal University in the year 2014 and completed his Ph.D. in 2020 from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, West Bengal, India, under Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Scheme for Electronics and IT, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India. He was associated as a post Ph.D. researcher at National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, on the project funded by Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India (Grant No. EEQ/2017/000519 dated 23/03/2018).
