Dr. Indrajit Pal is an associate professor in the Disaster Preparedness, Mitigation and Management (DPMM) Academic program at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand, and has more than 19 years of experience in research, teaching, training, advocacy, consultancy primarily focused on disaster risk governance, incident command system, hazard and risk assessment, CBDRM, public health risk, disaster resilience, and DRR Education. Dr. Pal served as a faculty member at Centre for Disaster Management at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, India. Dr. Indrajit is a former member of Board of Directors for the Global Alliance of Disaster Research Institutes (GADRI), Japan. Dr. Pal authored a number of peer-reviewed journal papers, conference paper, and books (Springer, Elsevier and SAGE). Some of his ongoing research includes risk characterization in Asian Delta communities in "Living Deltas Hub" project UKRI, GCRF. Dr. Sangam Shrestha is a dean of School of Engineering and Technology and a professor of Water Engineering and Management at the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand. He is also the founding co-director of Global Water and Sanitation Center at AIT. Dr. Shrestha is also a visiting professor of Beijing Normal University in China, University of Yamanashi, Japan, National University of Laos, and SEI Associate of Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). His research interests are within the field of hydrology and water resources including, climate change impact assessment and adaptation in the water, integrated water resources management and groundwater assessment and management. Dr. Shrestha has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed international journals and presented more than 100 conference papers ranging from hydrological modelling to climate change impacts and adaptation in the water sector. Dr. Shrestha has been awarded ‘Distinguished Research Leader Award’ in 2015 and 2019 at AIT.Dr. Sarawut Ninsawat received the doctoral degree at Osaka City University (OCU), Japan. He was a postdoctoral researcher at National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST), Tsukuba, Japan. Currently, he is an associate professor in remote sensing program, Department of ICT, School of Engineering and Technology, Asian Institute of Technology. His research interests are application of remote sensing and GIS for natural resource management, developing web mapping application especially focus on the implementation of standard OGC web services (OWS) framework such as WCS, WFS, WPS, and SOS using OpenSource Software solutions. Additionally, the various location-based service applications were developed to utilize the location information for agriculture, environment, and logistic purpose.Dr. Sreevalsa Kolathayar pursued M.Tech. from IIT Kanpur and Ph.D. from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and served as an international research staff at UPC BarcelonaTech Spain. Dr. Sreevalsa has authored five books that are now subscribed by worldwide university libraries including MIT and Stanford. He published over 80 research articles. He is an associate editor of two international journals and acted as a reviewer for many international journals. He is currently the secretary Indian chapter of International Association for Coastal Reservoir Research (IACRR) and an executive committee member of Indian Society of Earthquake Technology. In 2017, the New Indian Express honoured Dr. Sreevalsa with South India's Most Inspiring Young Teachers Award. He is the recipient of ISET DK Paul Research Award from Indian Society of Earthquake Technology in 2018. He is in the roster of two technical committees of ASCE Geo-Institute.
