Dr. Konishi is an authority in surgery and chemotherapy for gynecologic cancers and also is strenuously engaged in the dissemination of protective vaccine for uterine cervical cancer. He was awarded The Komei Nakayama Prize in 2016, which is given to pioneering doctors who have contributed to cancer treatment, diagnosis, and prevention.
