This book provides a contemporary reference work covering the science and clinical applications of PET, especially PET/CT technology. The 1st part covers the basic aspects of PET and PET/CT including physics, instrumentation, radiation dosimetry and protection. The 2nd part deals with the central nervous system technology and the 3rd part addresses the cardio-respiratory systems including a new chapter on cardiac PET/CT viewed by some experts as the future one-stop-shop cardiac examination. The 4th part focuses on oncology and contains new data related to the PET/CT technology and illustrations.
