Mary Alice Haddad is an Assistant Professor of Government and East Asian Studies at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. She received her M.A. and Ph.D. in political science at the University of Washington in Seattle. She has been the recipient of several grants and fellowships, including ones from the Fulbright A50 program, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Harvard Academy for International and Area Studies. She has published articles in Comparative Political Studies and an award-winning article in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly.
