H. B. McCullough is professor emeritus in the Political Science department at UBC Okanagan. He is the author of several books and journal articles in political philosophy and ideology, and has been teaching political thought courses for nearly 20 years. This book is great for an introduction to the subject. It does a nice job of providing basic background and information on a wide variety of significant ideologies, making them comprehensible, making them seem plausible and potentially attractive, and providing students with the means to compare and assess them."
