Play! Recorders in the Classroom

Music can be a helpful tool to bring pupils together, and the ability to master a musical instrument can be a source of confidence during the challenging time when pupils transition to high school. This guide helps teachers to assist their students in Classes 6 and 7 (11-13 years) to advance their skills on all four recorders (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass or SATB). At this stage pupils can often play more sophisticated works on the recorder. The songs featured are taken from around the world and are selected to match the curriculum level for Classes 6 and 7.
