This book explores the profound transformations in spatial planning in Greece over recent decades. Influenced by European Union policies, the economic crisis, and subsequent institutional reforms, the regulation and governance of spatial development have been reshaped. Louis Wassenhoven is Professor Emeritus, Department of Urban and Regional Planning, National Technical University of Athens, and a former Senior Lecturer at the Development Planning Unit, University College London. He is the author of 13 books on planning, 5 in English and 8 in Greek.Evangelos Asprogerakas is Associate Professor of Spatial Planning and Director of the Research Unit for Tourism Planning and Policy at the Department of Planning and Regional Development, University of Thessaly. His research interests focus on spatial policy, strategic planning and governance and sustainable development.
