"Philosophy of Life is a new book by Aleksandar Fatić, a particularly thoughtful champion of philosophical counseling. In this book he interprets psychotherapy—and more broadly the achievement of a good life—through the conceptual lens of the possible worlds available to a person. The approach is suggestive and revealing."—Thaddeus Metz, Research Professor of Philosophy, University of Pretoria, South Africa."Aleksandar Fatić brilliantly revives the ancient truth that psychotherapy is, at heart, a philosophical endeavor. By skillfully deploying modal logic as a transformative modality, he boldly escapes the confines of received syllogistic methods. Replete with illustrative case studies, scaled from personal to political, this book offers quintessential medicine for the soul."—Lou Marinoff, Professor of Philosophy, The City College of the City University of New York, USA."Philosophy of Life repositions the relationship between psychotherapy and philosophical counseling under a comprehensive theoretical philosophical and practical framework, offering brilliant novel insights into their integration and application. This book is essential reading for any practitioner, professor, trainer, or student of psychotherapy, philosophical counseling, or any other form of talk therapy, self-development, or sapiential growth."—Rick Repetti, Professor of Philosophy, The City University of New York, USA."Aleksandar Fatić’s Philosophy of Life is a vital guide for those navigating the existential crises of our AI-driven era. By integrating modal logic into clinical practice, Fatić replaces simple reframing with the power to “strike into the world” and shift possibilities. It is a radical, deeply engaged roadmap for reclaiming “the good life” for you and me."—Xiaojun Ding, Associate Professor of Philosophy, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China; Secretary General, East Asian Society of Philosophical Practice (EASPP).
