Pet Potato

Josh Lacey is the author of many books for children including The Dragonsitter, the Hope Jones series and the Grk series. He has worked as a journalist and written one book for adults, God is Brazilian. His first book for children, A Dog Called Grk, was shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award. Josh lives in London with his wife and daughters. Momoko Abe is a self-taught illustrator based in London. She grew up in Japan, and moved to the UK to study filmmaking. She still works in the TV and film industry, whilst pursuing her passion for children’s books. Momoko was shortlisted for the AOI World Illustration Award in 2019.

Abe’s vivid illustrations convey Albert’s (and his potato’s) emotions with subtlety and perception. A lovable choice for reading aloud
