During his specialty training in pediatric surgery he spent two years in Marseille at the Timone Children Hospital; he later obtained a  Master in Paediatric Surgery at the Necker Children Hospital of Paris, Descartes University of Paris . He was visiting professor in various parts of the world: Vail (USA), London, Leeds (UK), Paris   Strasbourg, Marseille (France). Currently he is Chief of the Pediatric Surgery Unit at the University of Naples Federico II, and Director of the Pediatric Surgery Training Program at the same University; he is also Director of Regional Reference Center for Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pediatric Robotics Director of European Reference Center for Pediatric Minimally Invasive Surgery and Pediatric Robotics (ESPES), C.E.O. of this same society and IRCAD expert in Pediatric Surgery and Urology Courses.
