Beskrivning
A beautiful, heartfelt picture book about being there for one another from award-winning creators Glenda Millard and Stephen Michael King.I am the small green pea, you are the tender pod, hold me...A mother and baby, a boy and a dog run for their lives. A polar bear, too, has come adrift. When will they find land? Who will welcome them in? In all the wide world we each need a safe place to call home. Words sing over the pictures in this evocative story: a beautiful lullaby about what we can be for each other.

Recensioner i media

... gently and subtly encompasses not just the issue of war and displacement, but also points a finger to climate change and despite serious themes sends out such positivity and hope.Lyrical, poetic and emotive, this is a book of looking after each other, of togetherness and openness and support. Calm, hopeful and full of love, compassion and ‘being there’-ness, I love reading this at bedtime, but it’s also a book that would be perfect for schools. All year groups could get so much from this – it should be in every class.
