Ozzy the octopus is a beautifully illustrated story book with a very important life lesson: Ozzy shows young readers that it is all right to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. The story and illustrations also teach readers about octopuses and other marine life.

Ozzy lives alone in the sea and needs to learn about things all by himself. He often changes color and hides, then he watches what the other fishes, eels, crabs and sea creatures do. But Ozzy still needs to find his own food and keep himself out of danger. While doing this he sometimes makes small mistakes, such as getting too close to a shell that snaps shut. And sometimes he makes bigger mistakes, such as getting trapped in a hole. He becomes afraid to do anything in case he makes a mistake. After a while Ozzy realizes that every time he makes a mistake he learns something new. He finds the courage to keep on trying and to learn along the way, and he begins to make fewer mistakes the more he learns.

This book is part of the exciting Sea stories series, a set of little stories with big lessons. By relating to the fun characters in this series, children can learn valuable life skills.
