Pat Croskerry initially obtained a first degree in Psychology, followed by a PhD in Experimental Psychology and a Fellowship in Clinical Psychology. He then completed medical training, and was a fulltime Emergency Physician for 33 years. He was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh in 2012. He has authored three books, and published over 100 medical papers. In 2025, he received the Order of Canada for his work in Patient Safety.Mike Clancy was a full time Emergency Physician for 30 years. He was a visiting research scientist (Yale University 1991) and completed a Masters in Health Services Research (University of Sheffield 1998) and a PhD in Health Sciences (University of Southampton 2024). He served as Dean (2008-11) and President (2011-13) of the College of Emergency Medicine
