Of Irish extraction, Liz Cowley is Britain's only humorous gardening poet. Her first published collection of humorous verse was launched by Joanna Lumley, a bestseller and was turned into a London and Dublin stage show in 2010. She lives in Putney, London, with her husband and loves going to National Trust gardens, flower shows and garden centres for inspiration.
