Walter Bureck, Annette Kark, Hanne Wendt, Martin Behrendt, and Ina Gundelwein are certified hand therapists and instructors of the German Association for Hand Therapy (DAHTH e.V.) who treat the full spectrum of hand rehabilitation in major clinics. They have many years of experience and extensive knowledge in both inpatient and outpatient therapies surgical and non-surgical managed conditions and injuries of the upper extremity, including complex conditions such as fracture, nerve, and tendon traumas, amputations, burns, congenital malformations, rheumatic diseases, arthroplasties, and more.Prof. Dr. Martin Langer is a specialist in surgery and trauma surgery with additional certification in hand surgery, specializing in hand and microsurgery. He also specializes in orthopedics and trauma surgery and is the deputy medical director of the Clinic for Trauma, Hand, and Reconstructive Surgery. He has compiled a history of splint treatment for the hand and has created the illustrations in this book.
