Snehanshu Saha, Ph.D. was born in Calcutta, India, where he completed degrees in mathematics and computer science. He went on to earn his master’s in mathematical sciences at Clemson University and his Ph.D. from the Department of Mathematics at University of Texas at Arlington in 2008. After working briefly at his alma mater, Snehanshu moved to the University of Texas El Paso, where he currently teaches differential equations, calculus and linear algebra. Apart from mathematical research, Snehanshu takes a keen interest in physics. He is a passionate teacher and encourages young people to study the sciences. He’s actively involved in undergraduate research initiatives at the University of Texas El Paso, working with young minds and motivating them to pursue careers in higher mathematics.

This textbook is perfect to teach a basic course: it is a small book, but at the same time has all information needed, detailed enough with examples and exercises. I also like how the book is structured. I am sure that undergraduate students will really appreciate this textbook." —Ranis N. Ibragimov, Associate Professor, University of Texas at Brownsville
