Samantha Edwards is an author and illustrator who lives in Kansas City, Missouri. She has worked as a head children's librarian and organized storytelling events and art workshops in schools, libraries, and public events. Her debut graphic novel, A Tale as Tall as Jacob (Andrews McMeel, 2021), was based on her own childhood and told the story of her family's joys and struggles of understanding, accepting, and supporting her brother in his diagnosis of ADHD. It received starred reviews in Kirkus, School LIbrary Journal, and Youth Services Book Review, as well as a first-place award in children’s fiction category for the annual Midwest Book Awards.
