Whan rich man Yashavanatarao dies, nobody imagines it could be a muder. A ananymous letter received by police mentions the death as murder. when police excavates the grave the find the body missing. Kith and kin of deceased thinks it is a bad a vomen. They fail to reason out why the body is missing.

Son-in-law of Yashavantarao hires a private detective to investigate the case. Prima-facia it looks like a murder. if the body is found it further leads to tracing the murderer. Hundreds of people were in contact with deceased. Detective Vikram gets into action. His asistant Sharath is curious to observe Vikrams intutive methods of finding the murderer. A envolope becomes a key to finding the reason for Yashavantarao's muder and catching the murderer.

During seventies plenty of detective novels used to get published in kannada literary  world. But none are found these days. This novel fills the gap to some extent.
