Dr. Xavier Siwe-Noundou is a scholar and scientist based at Rhodes University inGrahamstown / Makhanda, South Africa. He has been a Gordon and Betty MooreFoundation (GBMF) Fellow (2017-2019), Oregon State University in USA (2017),University of California San Diego in USA (2019); an EU FP7 Marie Curie Fellow(2015–2016), Kaposvar University in Hungary (2015, 2016), Trakia Univesity inBulgaria (2016), TWAS Fellow (2013), National Research Foundation South AfricaFellow (2014-2016).Dr. Siwe-Noundou works on medicinal chemistry focusing on chemistry, pharmacognosy,and nanotechnology. His main investigations include terrestrial naturalproducts chemistry (from Cameroon and South Africa) and marine natural productschemistry (from South Africa cost line). All the bioactive metabolites isolated arescreened as potential antimicrobial, antiparasitic and antiproliferative candidates. Heis an author of more than fifty scientific publications in his field of expertise.
