Nanophysics and Nanobiophysics: From Nature to Engineering

Nanophysics and Nanobiophysics gives an extensive and detailed introduction into contemporary nanobiophysics for both the experienced researcher and the student just starting out in the field. Nowadays the biomimetic structures and materials are widely used in different micro/nano fluidic systems, lab-on-a chip devices, microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), and other practices. All known modern physics nano-structures and nano-objects are described, and their analogies in biophysics are presented. A comprehensive review on physical forces and interactions on the micro/nano scale is given and the microfluidic and nanofluidic systems and nanostructural smart materials are also discussed.
