This is a first book of animals for babies and toddlers. Small children always love looking at pictures of animals - and they will find plenty in this chunky little book, with bright illustrations on every page! The pictures show domestic pets such as a cat and a dog, familiar farmyard animals including a cow, a pig and a sheep, and wild creatures such as an elephant, a giraffe, a tiger and a many-tentacled octopus. It is designed for young children and adults to enjoy together, with a wide-clean padded cover and sturdy board pages. This soft-to-touch first book encourages babies and toddlers to talk about, focus on, and learn animal words. It is full of fun images of friendly animals, including a cute cat, a jumping frog, busy bees, swimming turtles, and a monkey dangling from a tree branch. Smaller pictures show groups of similar or connected creatures, such as household pets, farm animals, wild mammals, birds, polar inhabitants and sea creatures. The bright drawings and simple text make this a great learning aid that youngsters will want to use again and again.
