Michael Christoforidis is a Professor in Musicology at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music, University of Melbourne. He has published extensively on nineteenth and twentieth-century Spanish music and dance, and its impact on Western culture. He has published two monographs: Manuel de Falla and Visions of Spanish Music (Routledge, 2017), and Carmen and the Staging of Spain with Elizabeth Kertesz (Oxford University Press, 2018)Diego Alonso is a Senior Researcher at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He has been a visiting scholar at Humboldt University, the University of Cambridge, Goldsmiths, University of London, and the Staatliches Institut für Musikforschung. He is founder and leader of the research group "Deutsch-Ibero-Amerikanische Musikbeziehungen" of the German Musicological Society, and he has published in leading journals including Acta musicologica, Twentieth-Century Music, Music Analysis, Die Musikforschung, Journal of War and Culture Studies and MusicologicaAustriaca.
