Malcolm Miller, musicologist and pianist, is Honorary Associate and Associate Lecturer at the Open University, UK. He received his doctorate at King’s College London and has published widely on Beethoven, Wagner and contemporary music. His essay ‘Music as Memory: British Émigré Composers and their Wartime Experience’ appears in The Impact of Nazism on Twentieth-Century Music (Böhlau Verlag, 2014).
