Carol Rose GoldenEagle is Cree/Dene with roots in Sandy Bay, northern Saskatchewan. She is a published and award-winning novelist, poet, playwright, visual artist, and musician. She is the author of the award-winning novel Bearskin Diary (2015), Hiraeth, a book of poetry (2018), Bone Black (2019), and Narrows of Fear (2020). Carol was named as the 2021-2023 Saskatchewan Poet Laureate. In 2022, she was named as a Member of the Saskatchewan Order of Merit for her years of cross-cultural work within the Arts & Culture community. Before pursuing her art on a full-time basis, Carol worked as a journalist for more than 30 years in television and radio at APTN, CTV, and CBC.Trisha Marie (Cree, Red Pheasant First Nations) has been an artist since she was a small child in Saskatoon, SK, and followed that passion into adulthood, earning a Bachelor Degree in History of Art (UVIC) and a Classical Animation diploma (VFS). She is currently a stay-at-home mom, teaching drawing skills to school-age children and taking on various artistic projects. She now lives in Cowichan Valley, BC.
