Dan McClellan worked for ten years as a scripture translation supervisor for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints before becoming a full-time public scholar of the Bible and religion. He holds a PhD in theology and religion from the University of Exeter. He is the author of the open access book YHWH's Divine Images: A Cognitive Approach (Atlanta, GA: SBL Press, 2022), as well as the New York Times bestselling book The Bible Says So: What We Get Right (and Wrong) About Scriptures Most Controversial Issues (New York: St. Martin's Press, 2025).
