Lidia Sudyka is Professor in the Department of Languages and Cultures of India and South Asia at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Jagiellonian University, Kraków, Poland. Her research interests focus on classical Sanskrit literature (kāvya), Indian theory of literature, contemporary and historical forms of textual transmission, women’s writing in Sanskrit, and modern Sanskrit literary production. She is the author of numerous research articles, four monographies and the Editor-in-chief of the Cracow Indological Studies journal.David Pierdominici Leão obtained Ph.D. degree at Sapienza University of Rome under the supervision of Prof. Raffaele Torella. In the years 2019-2023 he was principal investigator of the project The Fish on Mount Meru: regionalism and Sanskrit cosmopolis in the Pāṇḍya identity and dynastic autoperception from the Caṅkam era to the 17th century.
