Modern Logic

Modern Logic is a text designed for a first course in symbolic logic for students in philosophy, mathematics, computer science, or linguistics. The book covers classical sentential logic, monadic predicate logic, and full first-order logic with identity, in three separate sections. Modern Logic's natural deduction system will be easy for students to understand, and the material is carefully structured, with graded exercises at the end of each section, selected answers to which are provided at the back of the book.
