Specializing in analytical chemistry/sensors and materials/renewable energy research, he has led and participated in more than 20 projects with a cumulative economic benefit of £270,000. He has published over 150 papers in SCI-1 and other journals, participated in over 200 reviews, and published three books.Josep M. Guerrero has been Professor in the Department of Energy Technology at Aalborg University in Denmark since 2011, where he leads the Microgrid research project. In 2019, he became Fluff Fellow at the Villum Fonden, where he is the Founder and Director of the Center for Research on Microgrids (CROM). His research interests are oriented toward different microgrid aspects, including power electronics distributed energy storage systems, hierarchical and cooperative control, energy management systems, smart metering, sustainable energy, and the internet of things for AC/DC microgrid clusters and islanded mini-grids.
