From the reviews:"The aim is to show how random models are used to analyse and solve a great variety of engineering issues. It is written in language accessible to practitioners and students in engineering, the physical sciences, the life sciences or management. … this book can be used for self-study or as a textbook. Lecturers will find a variety of examples. Several chapters can be read independently of the others. … a useful resource for many people who are involved in various domains of applied mathematics."
