'This rich and thorough analysis skilfully locates the city level in its wider political-institutional contexts and moves beyond the dichotomy between the local and transnational focus on migrant organizations. An important book for anyone interested in new insights and perspectives on the relationship between migrants and cities, this is a most welcome contribution to the understanding of processes of migrant accommodation in Europe.'
